Over six hundred thousand chemicals meet the OSHA definition of a hazardous substance. These chemicals can cause harm when inhaled, ingested, or brought into contact with the skin. Many are chronic health hazards, meaning they may cause debilitating effects after long term exposure to very low concentrations. Laboratories accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) provides our techncians with analytical services, giving our clients increased assurance of objectivity and quality analysis.
A Number of chemicals in wide use cause health effect upon contact with the skin, including many of the isocyanates, epoxies, plasticizers and acrylates. Special testing techniques are often required for these materials. Health & Safety Oversight
Work at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites involves exposure to wide varieties of chemical and physical hazards. Site contaminants, heavy equipment, heat stress, and other hazards threaten workers as such sites. Development of a site-specific health & safety plan is critical for the safe and effective completion of the project.
